Indications of ZYLOX Octoplus™ Vena Cava Filter

Indications of ZYLOX Octoplus™ Vena Cava Filter

This product is indicated for use in the prevention of pulmonary embolism (PE) caused by dislodged emboli in the inferior vena cava (IVC) system through percutaneous placement via a trans jugular venous approach & trans femoral vein approach. Includes:


  • Patients with existing PE or thrombosis of the IVC, iliac, femoral or popliteal veins who meet the following conditions:

    (1)presence of contraindications to anticoagulation therapy;

    (2) development of complications such as bleeding during anticoagulation therapy;

    (3) recurrence of PE despite adequate anticoagulation therapy, or failure to achieve adequate anticoagulation for various reasons.

  • PE concurrent with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of the lower extremities.

  • Presence of free-floating thrombi or massive thrombus in the iliac, femoralvein or IVC.

  • Diagnosis of thrombophilia with recurrent PE.

  • Acute deep vein thrombosis of the lower extremities, who wants to perform transcatheter thrombolysis and thrombus removal.
